Meet the Weather Shortlisted for Leicester Schools Year 2 Book Award!
I am absolutely DELIGHTED to announce that Meet the Weather is one of six picture books to be shortlisted for the Our Best Picture Book 2024 - Leicester Schools’ Year 2 Book Award!
Now in its fifth year, Our Best Picture Book is aimed at Year 2 pupils, as part of a Whatever it Takes* (WiT) initiative, which aims to engage pupils and their families in reading, discussing and judging the merits of six picture books titles, through borrowing the books and sharing them together.
The six titles on the list have been selected by Whatever it Takes, The School Development Support Agency, part of Leicester Libraries and Creative Learning Services.
Over 50 schools across Leicester are participating and children will borrow the shortlisted books, take part in a programme of family engagement activities and then vote for their favourites between January and March 2024.
