Bethan Woollvin

Bethan currently lives and works in Sheffield as a freelance children’s book author and illustrator, creating extraordinary children’s books. Inspired by vintage illustrations and printmaking, Bethan uses bold colours and quirky characters to tell stories with her illustrations.

Graduating from the Cambridge School of Art in 2015 with a degree in Illustration, Bethan was already an award winning Illustrator with a publishing contract.

While studying, Bethan’s bold and distinctive retelling of Little Red Riding Hood won the prestigious Macmillan Book Prize in 2014, which went on to be published by Pan Macmillan in 2016. Soon after, Little Red became a New York Times Best Illustrated Children’s Book of 2016, and won the World Illustration Awards in 2017.
