Cogan Heroes Award Longlist for The Girl who Planted Trees

Every year, the children at Cogan Primary School run a competition to decide which is the best picture book on a given theme. In 2022, Sonny Says Mine was shortlisted for the Cogan Friendship Picture Book Award.

This year, the theme is Earth Heroes and The Girl who Planted Trees has been chosen as one of the longlisted titles.

Children will be reading all the books over the spring term, and winners will be announced in the summer, 2023.

This is a great initiative to get kids reading and I wish everyone the best of luck!
